GONE: Wide Victorian front door

Recommended Posts

This is an unusually wide Victorian front door measuring 2020mm x 915mm (approx 80" x 36"). I have no idea how old it is, or what type of wood (possibly a hardwood given the weight), but the house was built in 1875. It has a surface mount yale-type lock and euro-cylinder mortice deadlock for which I have a couple of sets of keys. Single glazed with privacy frosting film on the inside. Also has a metal plate across the outside of the bottom two panels (presumably for security reasons when Peckham was bit more scally a few years ago) but the panels are sound. It is painted a royal(?) blue outside and white inside.

If you live at number 48 then this is definitely the door for you!

The door needs a bit of TLC, and hence is going free of charge. You may want to bring someone to help as this is HEAVY (well over 50kg).
