A large ginger cat has joint us living in our and our neighbour's garden. we live on Ryedale. It looks like the same cat has been in St Aidans Road since last week, looking hungry and alone.

Does anyone miss this cat? does anyone know the owner?

my neighbour plans to take hime today to the neighbour vet to get him scanned. I agree he is lovely, but my neighbour will bring him to the battersea home if he hasn't got an owener since she can't look after him.

and we have an old cat who is comoletely scared of him so we can't have him either :-(

I am the neighbour who originally found him. We took the cat to a rescue centre this morning and luckily it was microchipped! The centre is getting in contact with the original owner and the cat will remain safe there until the owner picks him up, so good news! Thanks to everyone who helped with this.

Sorry to say that this cat still needs help. The phone number on the chip doesn't work.

He is safe at Celia Hammond but they have no way of finding his people.

The chip was registered out of the area, so they may have recently moved to East Dulwich?

Unfortunately Celia Hammond is being untruthful a little bit here, we were told by the vet that everything was fine - they were contacting the owner and taking care of it, I even left my phone number. Not sure why Celia Hammond is saying that we left without speaking with the receptionist! Very strange, but it looks like the actual owner has now been found thanks to a poster put up, a friend of mine contacted the owner directly.

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
