True and always good to understand supply and demand (price control generally a dirty word). On a separate matter the mark up for hotel rooms at Bilbao for Euro 2020 was phenomenal. I'll get great pleasure in cancelling my overpriced tiny AirBnB room for three. Got to snatch some glimmers of light from this situation. Like all markets where there is under-supply things can change or someone can come in with an innovative product (Japanese toilets or bidets?) and you are left with warehouses full of a valueless commodity.

I didn't think that it would be worth having an adult conversation with you about patriotism, nationalism and the like. But I have found you a friend. For those interested it refers to Liz Truss and the televised cabinet meeting.

Nah nah nah nah nah.

Just saw on Sky News

"Corona Virus patients more likely to die may have treatment withdrawn EVEN IF THEY ARE IMPROVING"

I always thought a strong indicator was a persons strong motivation to live, as well as age and clinical diagnosis.

It's what struck me years ago on Intensive Care and High Dependency wards (major op) - I was trying to get well every moment I was there but some seemed to have given up.

Just been watching the Last Leg. Shocked that David Mitchell has dared criticise the prominence of the union flags in Number 10 press briefings. He dared to compare this to America, and even stated that flags should be flown in the air.

Just ignore my post, it is purely self-indulgent, self congratulatory toss.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
