After School care wanted

Hi we are looking for someone to do after school pick up four days a week for our 10 year old from Herne Hill to our home in Peckham, sometimes taking him to other afternoon activities. He is a confident cyclist and loves to do the journey by bike - if useful but this is not essential.

Bright, funny little boy who likes to kick a ball in the park after school, learn a trick on a skateboard and knows quite a lot about Pokemon (he?d be happy to share this with you ;) He sometimes needs help / supervision with his homework and a bite to eat for dinner.

We speak both English and German at home so happy to hear from people who speak either or both!!

Potential extra hours in the holidays (not essential).

Message me to discuss. Chemistry with him and commitment is more important to us than experience!

Thanks and all the best, Octavia

    • There was a few around Loughborough Junction which were similar. The Green Man, Harrier's and The Loughborough Hotel come to mind. Harrier's could be a bit, erm, lively at times, but they were okay for a couple of pints early doors. A rough rule of thumb was, if someone puts The Wolfe Tones on the jukebox, you've probably outstayed your welcome. I was in one in Dalston Junction some years ago when a very large Irish lad mistook the home-made Scotch Bonnet sauce for tomato ketchup - and he obviously really liked tomato ketchup. I've never seen such a big bloke shed so many tears.
    • There's a thing called scan angels who can come to your location!
    • I agree with @malumbu Forest Hill around the Horniman. Forest Hill station has Southern Rail and Windrush, The London bridge train is great for connecting to Northern Line or Southern Trains to Charing X and Cannon Street.  When I need to get into the city I take Windrrush to Whitechapel then Elizabeth Line to Liverpool Street. Lots of parks, Lots of young families, farmers Market on Sunday, Decent nearby pool and gym. Independent Butcher a few Delis (Aga's The butcher sells Deli stuff And Pantry on Perry Vale) and good independent cofee shops, An organic  grocer on dartmouth road.. Sainsburys, Costa, Superdrug and TJ Jones (WHSmith) are branches of chains based there.
    • Thanks  for the advice .I did call Celia Hammond today and they are very busy at the moment and am waiting for a call back but in the meantime I thought I would see if I could find out who the owner was first . Thank you , I will try this if I can pick the cat up at some point if they let me if all else fails .
