Bakery on LL

I noticed my last post was removed, hopefully i didn't offend. All i asked was what happened to the bakery on the corner of Frogley Road and LL, it was there for a long time and had quite good old school bakery products - like proper white bread. whilst i do love a good sour dough, i also love an old school loaf

It was run into the ground by someone who bought it as a little side line project and by someone who really didn't have a clue about what the public wanted . He went away from the old school style of cakes and bread which was the unique selling point ,into mass produced bought in cakes that were not as nice and not worth the price he added to them ! Also keeping on a manageress that that had no people skills , alienating loyal staff and customers with her bad attitude !The previous owners Hirst & Sons ran the shop much more efficiently and knew what the customers liked and wanted .

Shame, as we have no independent bakeries on LL. Would be good if one opened more branches.
