I've found some great services due to recommendations here so thought I'd add my own - Green Gauge are based in SE5 & SE15 but serve SE London further including East Dulwich so I hope this is allowed.

Found Geoff and Jeremy on the Gas Safe Register and so glad I did. Geoff gave us some honest advice about an old, beloved cooker and came by with Jeremy to install and test a new one we bought. They were very clear communicators, quick, and clean, and returned promptly to fix an unforeseen issue that wouldn't have been a problem had we known more about our own house. Doesn't say clearly that it tried to bite you , but instead implies that you had the impression, right or wrong that it wanted to nip you. unless you are clear others will read it how you write it. As for being a jobsworth, what a quaint old expression, haven't heard that for a long while.

  Crook locks can be sawn through, or the steering wheel to which it is attached, I know to my own cost. The safest additional security measure is what's called a ghost immobiliser, which cannot be traced through the car's electronics, meaning it is difficult to bypass. They cost a bomb however.

  I’ve reported two instances of mobile phone theft to 999 in recent times. On both occasions several police units have arrived very quickly - in one case they found the perpetrator.
