Hi all,

Got some ivf drugs we bought but then never used in the end. Clearing out our house and about to chuck them out. Contacted the people we bought them off but of course we cannot send them back. Does anyone else have any sensible suggestions? Just feels crazy to throw 4/500 quid's worth in the bin but obviously there is not much market for second hand drugs!!! We would not be looking to make any money from these, just wanted to see whether anyone had any suggestions? Not sure it is altogether ethical to give these away online either but please PM me if you have any thoughts. Thanks

I know exactly what you're going through. I've got 2 unopened boxes Gonal F pens in my fridge but just can't throw them away as the drugs are so expensive. I may have a lucky fridge though as I'm now 6 mths pregnant with twins. Please let me know if anyone is interested or what to do with them... will prob take back to Kings soon.
thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. I guess I just did not want to chuck them away as they are so expensive and it was a big decision for us to spend money on them in the first place! Will take to Kings unless anyone contacts me to say they are interested

    • Just had a delicious coffee in this cafe next to Eric's in Upland Road. They also serve Chinese food for lunch and supper, and to takeaway. Rather off the beaten track but worth supporting?
    • Vans are restricted to one hour a day 8:30 to 9:30 and have to be pre-booked.  So long as you went with and were able to show the right ID then I doubt it would be an issue unless the builders van is emblazoned with their branding as businesses aren't allowed to use it.
    • Perhaps they would run into the issue that Lambeth had if they put it on the  Rye - maybe they would need planning permission for change of use if more than 28 days of permitted development are used up for all the other events plus this. So perhaps emphasising that the two areas are distinct from each other actually helps the council.
    • I think the council could make more of that too. Sell a ticketed event with a local celebrity turning the lights on, followed by a street party with christmas carols and a christmas pop song cover band.
