Delivered meal prep- floating an idea!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am the owner of the braizen kitchen, a small, local + independent event caterer based in East Dulwich. Check me out on instagram or facebook @braizenkitchen

Given recent events we find ourselves with mostly all work suspended or cancelled. But we won?t let this defeat us!! I want to bring great quality, home-cooked food to those who enjoy delicious and seasonal food, think amazing curries, tagines, rice bowls and more.

Enter?

'DOORSTEP DARLINGS' from the braizen kitchen.

I wanted to float the idea with the local community... delicious home-cooked meals, as seasonal as possible, ready to be reheated and delivered to your doorstep, gloves worn throughout prep, no contact necessary.

For every 2 meals you buy, we will donate a third to a local charitable group and soup kitchen supplying take away meals to those in need.

There is a min order of ?20 which includes delivery. Meals will be between ?6-?10

Mostly veggie, but some meat or fish options. Delivery Tuesday and/or Friday (subject to feedback)

Is this something you would order?

Any feedback would be so helpful, so feel free to respond to this post or via private inbox.

In times like this, small business needs you more than ever, please share your thoughts!

I happen to know Clare, she works with me so I want to make that clear.

I have ordered from Clare - I sometimes just want a night off - and can highly recommend her food.

Her portion size is generous, she is prompt with delivery time and the dishes I ordered were beautifully cooked and tasted superb

Yes I know her but I am recommending her as a client now!

Highly recommend

Hi there Sue,

All the meals are suitable for freezing, occasionally there might be a side sale or something to go with which obviously you wouldn?t be able to freeze. But overall yes. If you go to my website braizenkitchen.co.uk, there is this weeks menu and last orders for Wednesday delivery is today.

Many thanks!

We got our first order from Braizen Kitchen today - treated myself to a night off cooking for the family.

We were blown away by how delicious it was. We had the meat balls and the fish pie. It was like home cooked but way better. The youngest child, who is normally quite a fussy eater, liked the meat balls so much that she licked the container clean afterwards... Also we thought very reasonably priced considering the quality and the size of the portions.

We will be ordering again next week for sure.

    • Over the past few months, Jan from Silver Fern Landscapes has completed several projects for us.  (He was recommended by a neighbour.)  We have been very pleased with his work.  Some details are below: Built and replaced several trellis fence panels.  In one part it was very complicated due to a large vine that had grown into/around the trellis.  He was able to save the vine, having unpicked it from the old trellis and then securing it to the new.  The vine went into a bit of shock, but is now thriving. Repaired the top frame to our garden side-return door, replacing rotten wood, and repainting the new to match. Repaired the loose tiles in our front walkway Along the way, during his visits, Jan also gave advice on various topics, such as how to best care for: our recently re-planted lawn, a tree that lost a large branch, and the vine mentioned above.  His working style is straight forward...he shows up when he says he will, discusses what needs to be done, provides timely quotes, completes the work as agreed, and sends an invoice. No drama, no hassle.  We will definitely be calling on Jan again when future garden-related projects arise! silverfernlondon.co.uk/silver_fern_landscapes.html
    • I'm very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing that Carl has never been forgotten in our community.
    • Thank you, it seems to be a few mins from Albrighton Community Fridge so I'll split the load.
    • To be candid I know that the matter is still very upsetting and traumatic for my family so I haven't really looked into this at all. However, thank you for sharing the information regarding the coroner's inquest its a route I will definitely explore.
