Naively, I never realised it was so expensive to sell stuff on ebay (10% of final sale price, unless I'm reading it incorrectly). Do they ever have 'special offer' times when the sale fees are reduced? Or, what are the best other options for selling unwanted stuff? I have a bugaboo and other baby stuff to clear out. I have tried the Family Classifieds on the forum, but few takers. Is gumtree the only option other than ebay? any suggestions appreciated.

Yes, I think I worked it out at 9% plus listing fees. They do 'no 'fees' weekends but just save listing fees I think.

I'm selling something now so can update you if that's way off!

Gum tree can be good and it costs nothing to list.

Might be worth bumping your family stuff on here as I don't think people look back all that far. I sold my bee via the forum and it's def the easiest and nicest way but you get a bigger audience on eBay!

Thank you both. I have updated (ie bumped) my Classifieds post, posted on Gumtree and also discovered Preloved. We'll see. Not sure how long husband will put up with the stuff cluttering our bedroom - may be pushed to Ebay sooner than I'd like. Strange how selling through the Forum seems nicer and friendlier!

Green-Buttons is a locally run website for baby/children's used clothing. They have very specific guidelines about what they do and don't accept. For the items they do accept, I thought the money offered was very good. I haven't used them in a while, but I thought they were excellent when I did use them.

    • You don't need a gym to lose 10kg. Get a set of dumbbells and maybe a resistance band, find a HIIT channel you like on youtube and workout in your room, eat clean and go out every day. £115/mo is ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to be about £20 to £30 and most people give up come February anyway.
    • Point taken..I go 3-4 times a week and have done every week for several years however £115 a month is still a lot of money for many people (myself included) for a 'non essential' One can if one wishes excersise by running or Cycling, swimming once in a while. Gym membership IS a luxury...
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.  I have heard the owls every night for the past couple of weeks  It is good to know they are here. They are quite loud so I think they are very near. I have never seen an owl in the wild before and wish I  could  see them.
