Nanny/Babysitter/Tutor/Childminding

Recommended Posts

My name is Sadie and I am a 19 year old undergraduate student at the University of Exeter.

Due to the current situation, I am now back in London until September and would like to offer my childcare services which include:

- Babysitting - I have had experience of this in London and in Ireland for different aged children. I am responsible and sensible and am first aid trained and have my own transport (see below)

- Nannying - I am available 7 days a week, my working times are flexible and I am happy to start as soon as possible

- Tutoring - I am currently a student at the University of Exeter studying Geography BSc. I am also a RGS Geography Ambassador, which means I volunteer to run sessions in schools teaching students of all ages about the importance of geography. I am a well-rounded academic, achieving highly in both my GCSEs and A Levels (PM for more information) and am happy to include tutoring with nannying, in order to give children more structure to their days

- Piano tutoring - I have played the piano up to Grade 5 and would be capable of giving children at this grade or below support with learning to play the piano - again, I would be happy to include this with a nannying job, in order to provide children with more structure to their days!

I have lots of experience working with young children (I have had many babysitting jobs for different families) but I also worked on a volunteer basis as a coach at Tulse Hill and Dulwich Hockey Club for three years coaching the U8s at Alleyn's School. As well as this, I have a recent DBS check (March 2020), I am level 3 First Aid trained, and I have personal transport (a car), so I am able to get myself around SE London very quickly. I am also registered both in Exeter and in Croydon with teaching supply agencies so my experience working with children is extensive!

I am available 7 days a week and happy to start early/finish late, as I understand with the current situation it can be really hard to balance work and childcare. I have references from East Dulwich parents for whom I have babysat previously, as well as teachers from East Dulwich schools - just PM me and I can put you in contact with them.

I hope everyone is coping well with these strange and difficult times and most importantly I hope we can all be kind to each other :)

    • Saw this today about Southwark voting in support of a tourist tax in the borough  BBC News - Tourist tax visitor levy comes closer in Southwark https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5ypvw0qln7o Makes me wonder what else they can find to tax, maybe a fine for breaking wind, or breathing or even a tax on windows. Of course I am being facetious but it does feel like if it moves, they will tax it.
    • Politicians particularly so....remember it's always party before people! I doubt McAsh will be in cabinet much longer...he might find even more attempts to kneecap his political career. I wonder if he might have to move to another area and restart - he obviously has political ambition but it seems Southwark is not going to be where it blossoms anymore - unless he can manage some sort of coup.
