DoubleA
Hi allI have a few cardboard boxes I?ve collapsed and some other random recyclables. Unfortunately, not all of it fits in the blue bin! I?ve stacked it next to the bin for the past two blue bin pick-ups, but the bin men just push it aside and only empty the bin. Is there something I need to do for them to take additional recycling? Or will they not take anything outside of the bins? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/251559-additional-recycling/ Share on other sites
ianr
A Stanley knife should be enough to easily split your flat boxes into loadable segments. I do wonder though if the collectors are wholly consistent. Were the flats tied together in a bundle or two, to make the job easy? Clutterqueen
I've found the bin men usually take anything placed outside of the blue recycling bin. That's as long as you pull your blue recycling bin out of your area/front garden. They can't be on top of everything as they have a huge job to do and especially in light of what's going on.
