Service garages

Does anyone know of any service, (not petrol station) garages open locally. I have a failing battery which I need replaced. My car is now mainly for emergencies and weekly shopping, but a failing battery rather obviates that. I am having to charge it up by running the engine, parked, but clearly this is very sub optimal.
