cancelled insurance policy.

can anybody shed any light as i am confused!

i saw an email today from my car insurer sent back in april.

apparently i called them to cancel my policy & they have cancelled it from 4th oct 2019!

i wasn't aware it could be done so many months later..... weird to say the least

Are you sure it is a genuine email from your insurer and not a phishing attempt? I would call your insurer on a telephone number on your policy documents and find out what has been going on. It seems very strange that there is such a long gap.

Does the email quote a valid policy or account no. that you can check and does it ask you to call or reply with key details ?

I just spoke to them.

Apparently I had paid for two policies as my previous was on automatic renewal.

How silly I didn't realise I'd paid twice!

Funny enough I remember going to buy car tax only to be told I had bought it three weeks earlier 🙌🏽

I think I was going through quite a lot around that time & trying to get everything done......

Luckily they got back to me & have reimbursed me!
