James helped us today with installing five new light fittings (including ceiling roses). His price compared well to other quotes that I had obtained, and he was polite and did a great job (including one light which was on a very high ceiling, that he navigated well). I wouldn?t hesitate to work with James again.

Thanks for the review. Some tricky wiring up there for sure! Really appreciate your, and other?s responses.

For anyone who still has halogen lights, get them changed asap. They pay for themselves, especially with our soaring energy prices. 07816160353 for any advice

Just called James - following other recommendations on EDF - with an issue regarding a loss of power and a blown circuit breaker. He talked me through possible solutions on how to reset the system. We now have power and the source of the problem identified. When I texted him to let him know he immediately replied with further things to check. This on a bank holiday! His number now saved as first responder to future problems and will be getting a call regarding further work.

    • They used to have dedicated park wardens, who I'm sure used to look after the parks and locked and opened the gates. Years ago I knew someone who was one. I thought they were based in that hut by the toilets. Are they not there any more? The community wardens are attached to the police rather than a specific park, aren't they?
    • Yes, sad how Rye Lane has taken a dive, interesting to see those pics CPR Dave. It's shocking how the section between Choumert Road and the Nag's Head in particular has lost its vibrancy, meanwhile the next section to the top of Peckham Rye Common has gentrified. Wonder why such a distinction in fortunes? Anyway the station square plans have fallen behind yet again, demolition won't now start this summer. The only "work" that will now take place this summer is surveying of the arcade, which they've had 10 years since planning permission to do. At least the replacement TSB branch has progressed but the Blenheim Grove corner building still looks unfinished, despite claims it "is now complete". https://www.southwark.gov.uk/planning-environment-and-building-control/current-and-future-development/peckham-and-nunhead-2
    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
