When I do a wash and take the load out lots of undisolved washing powder comes out with the clothes. I've checked that the machine is heating the water (in case it was only using cold water), I've checked the filter and the powder tray:both fine. Anyone got any ideas? May be time to get a new washing machine but thought I'd ask.

Thanks

L

Hi all,

thanks for your suggestions. The powder is not staying in the draw it is getting into the machine. It's at the end of the wash when I take the clothes out of the machine that quite a bit of undissolved powder comes out with the wet clothes. It may be the water pressure: I turned my water pressure down recently because when I turn on the kitchen tap it blasts out, so I'm going to turn it back up again and see if that is the problem. Otherwise buy some gel. I haven't changed my powder and the machine is about 6yrs old and this has just started happening recently so if the above dosen't work time for a new machine!

Once again thanks for your responses.

Water may be getting warm but not hot enough.

Some powders work at lower temperatures / some do not

Try a Hotter Setting.

If you still have problems

It could be a faulty Heater or Thermostat.

Changing to a Gel will not fix the problem with your machine if there is a fault.

Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
