Recommended Posts

Stay alert and join local charity Link Age Southwark for another fantastic quiz LIVE on Facebook from the comfort of your own sofa!

The quiz will take place live from our Facebook page on Wednesday 1st July at 7.30pm. Follow Link Age Southwark on Facebook to watch it live on the night at: https://www.facebook.com/linkagesouthwark/

After the success of their previous two lockdown quizzes, Andrew has kindly agreed to return and host another fun and intriguing evening. Play with those at home or join a team using video calling.

As always it's free to take part, but Link Age Southwark ask you to consider making a ?5 donation per team towards their Bloomin' Lovely fundraiser - a new project to adapt their gardening service and supply plants and flowers to brighten up the homes and gardens of older people who are shielding during the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding from the project will also help to make up the shortfall from their cancelled community fundraising events which raise vital funds to facilitate their services.

You can make your pledge here: https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/bloomin-lovely/

I don't know what precautionary mindset means.  The precautionary principle is that we need to act now for example in tackling climate change rather than wait twenty years for conclusive evidence (that was the situation in 2006 when Stern published his report) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stern_Review
