Recommendation for Washboard: Dry Cleaning/Laundry Service

Just wanted to put in a good word for the new laundry service, Washboard, on Cheltenham Road.

As a massage therapist, the one part of my job that I really dislike is the perpetual washing and drying of towels.

Now, thanks to the lovely Seral and Mustafa, I can "outsource" that particular chore and my towels are coming back softer, fluffier and much more fragrant than I could ever get them myself.

Anyone who knows the tedium of endlessly washing the same items will appreciate what a relief it is to have someone who can do it (and do it so well) for you.

Thank you, Washboard. You have improved my daily routine immeasurably!

Another recommendation for Washboard! I sent in a coat to get the zip repaired. Bought a new zip as I thought there was no way the slider bit that had broken off could be fixed. But was told by the lovely owners there that they could indeed fix it so no need to replace entire zip. Turned out it was much cheaper as well. Also sent in a dozen shirts to be pressed. They delivered the whole lot. Thumbs up will be going back for sure!

Hello, Another recommendation for Washboard. We couldn't use our washing machine over the weekend due to a sink issue - so we took our week's wash to Washboard.

The place is just so lovely....and the owners were great, very courteous and explained their processes. They washed, dried, folded (and paired our socks!!) and packed everything neatly up. Honestly...it was such a treat not to do your own washing for once! Very happy.

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
