AlanT
I have a Baumatic Gas Hob which will not stop sparking. I think the igniter may need to be replaced on at least one ring and am looking for info on electricians / other who could carry this out. Thanks,Alan Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/256375-gas-hob-igniter/ Share on other sites
steve 1975
It has probably got wet. Turn it off for a few days and let it dry out 👍🏽 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/256375-gas-hob-igniter/#findComment-1430874 Share on other sites
DulwichFox
Like Steve say.. It has probably got wet. I had this problem with an old hob. When I cleaned it, some water sometimes got into one of the control pots.. I found removing the control knob and using a hair dryer to dry the water worked.. Or else wait for it to dry out. AlanT
I actually figured out that one of the knobs was sticking slightly in the down position - only took me 2 days to think of that... ;) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/256375-gas-hob-igniter/#findComment-1431299 Share on other sites
