I highly recommend Heather https://www.thewinglessbird.com/ She has been amazing with our 2 cats & such a lovely person. We have been using her for several years now. A real gem.

I would like to add, just be careful of any hobbyists & even companies that claim to be 'professional' {that includes vet. nurses!}. A handful of my clients have had some pretty awful experiences with previous local "cat sitters" caught on their security cameras {like the popular Ring}. So make sure you ask them plenty of questions regarding their background, qualifications & profession. They should have no issue sending picture/video updates per visit {this provides proof that they are actually visiting & reassured your feline is well}.

Dog walker =/= cat sitter.

All pet sitters should provide DBS.

Kindest,

I'd like to introduce Love Home Watch my local business offering pet feeding, home checks and plant watering services for people who are away from home. I'm a local East Dulwich resident with many links in the local community, the service is fully insured and I have an enhanced DBS certificate. I can also supply local testimonials.

If you'd like to find out more, please check out my website www.lovehomewatch.com or call me on 07537 144 318.

Thanks

Hi I am Michelle and the owner of 'Any Pet Sitting and Walking'.

We are a small company dedicated to animals and all of the staff are hand picked and all have a high level of Animal Management and Care and detailed existing / background of working in the animal care industry working with rescue centres to working in city farms.

All staff are CRB checked and references can be supplied.

We are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance, Employee Insurance and Pet Services Insurance (certificates can be requested)

For our Pet Sitting services not only do we look after your fluffy pets but we do love a reptile too or even a bird (James is our bird expert!) it is ?14.00 per visit and we will ensure your pet is well looked after and loved as our own, you don?t need to worry about medication as we have trained staff who are happy to administer an injection or give a tablet all staff have an animal background and have been trained, so you can rest assured your pet is in good hands. Please note I have a dedicated team who solely look after the pets sitting so you are guaranteed the minimum of 45 minutes each visit.

Our team also have availability for dog walking so if your pooch needs a walk just give us a call.

Our aim is to bring enjoyment to each dog walk, we normally work in pairs and we assess each dog and put them in a group which suits the dogs needs so each dog is well exercised in body and mind and enjoys the walk and play with his/her dog buddies. We use various techniques such as ball/frisbie throwing for the more energetic dogs, to gentle strolls around the park enjoying the smells etc.

The cost is ?14.00 per hours walk In the park and a discount is given of 10% for block of 10 prepaid walks (although these do not have to be booked there and then as a record will be kept.

To book is just a phone call away or text or even WhatsApp once the initial meet and greet has been done and we are very adhoc so booking and cancellations can be last minute and we will endeavour to fit a walk for you, we all know life can change last minute so we aim to ensure your dog being walked is one thing you can cross off your list.

If you are interested you can contact me on 07443 942491 or James on 07488 339820

    • It's started. And seeing it just now made me feel genuinely a bit flat and sad.
    • I'd forgotten about that place.  It wasn't a market as such, it was just run by one  couple. They did have some quite interesting things. I still have a mirror I got from there, which had been  put inside an old painted  shuttered window frame from somewhere in India. Mumbai I think. There also used to be occasional indoor  markets in the church hall where the cinema now is, next to where the Irish shop used to be. But if memory serves they were usually either jumble sales (do they still exist?) or craft sales before Christmas. There have also been occasional indoor markets at the church hall in Dulwich Village and the church hall at the church in Barry Road up by the Plough. There never seemed to be many people buying things at them. But it does all depend on what is being sold, whether it appeals to the local demographic,  where the market is located and how it is publicised. And, obviously,  whether it is profitable for the traders.
    • How the hell did Mad maxxi do that given the state of the rest of us?
    • "I also remember when we first moved here a small indoor market on the corner of North X road and Felbrigg rd that had bric a brac and bits of furniture..That one had some good stuff."   I remember that little bric-a-brac, at the back of the solicitors' place. Still got a block type panel from there. The old solicitors on the corner would could be a good venue for a few indoor stalls
