Hallo all

Last week, I attended a session at the Maudsley Hospital, to take part in research into Degenerative Brain conditions, like ALS.

It was fun, interesting and useful. The information collected is part of a large enquiry that compares patients with non patients, and may help specialists to pick up brain degeneration much sooner. You are not being investigated for the degeneration, just providing useful research info.

You get fares paid, and possibly a ?30 M and S voucher.

They are looking for men in the age range 60-75 to take part. If you are in that range, or you know someone who is, consider taking part, and contribute to some useful research.

    • Today between approximately 3:30 and 4:00 PM, someone entered the back door of an estate agency and stole items from the kitchen, including a microwave and kettle. The individual then proceeded to trash the kitchen before leaving. This happened near Shawbury/Lordship Lane. If anyone saw a man carrying these items or acting suspiciously in the area around that time, please report it to the authorities and let me know. if anyone has access to cameras located near the area, your help would be appreciated.  Let’s help keep our community safe.
    • Well, that makes me feel better about my presently chaotic "office" (aka dumping ground for random stuff 😀) I do use it for an office as well though. That's what I'm supposed to be doing now, instead of mindlessly scrolling on my phone 😭
    • There is a repair workshop which runs every so often near The Old Nun's Head, where things can be fixed for free. Afraid I don't have the details, but I'm sure someone on here will.
    • Thank you Rhian, but I am looking for pebbles/cobbles .
