FREE - single bed (with mattress if needed). Must be collected by Thurs 23rd

Does anybody want a Flexa classic single bed? It's been our daughter's bed for the past 10 years (in a smoke-free home) but she has now got a new double bed. There are some children's stickers on the frame but these are easy to remove with a hairdryer and/or surgical spirit. One slat is broken and has been taped but this doesn't affect the function of the bed at all. It's currently in 3 pieces (main base plus the two ends) but the base can be dismantled further for easier collection if needed.

You can also have the mattress with it if required - it's a Warren Evans luxury mattress that is 5 years old. It's still comfortable but does have some tea and juice stains on it.

We're just off Bellenden Rd and need the bed gone by tomorrow (Thurs 23rd) so will be taking it to the tip if nobody wants it before then. Please DM me if you're interested.

    • I found Leon on EDF and I could not be happier with the work he has completed for us. He changed a number of switches and fitted a ceiling light.  He was polite, tidy and arrived exactly on time. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician 07707 925039
    • What about the places they go to after 11 as it is? I think a lot of the reticence will stem from the fact that someone turning 18 now will ha e loads of school mates who are still only 17 and the liability for serving underage people is huge, plus the loss of profit selling mostly only soft drinks makes 18th birthdays a hard sell in pubs / clubs.
    • The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.
    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
