One Tree Hill Choir rehearsals on Zoom!

Recommended Posts

Since the beginning of lockdown One Tree Hill Choir have been singing together from our homes. Zoom choir makes it possible for us all to join in.

We?ve sung an eclectic mix of brilliant music - from the Beatles to West Side Story, to an arrangement by a choir member of Robert Burns' famous poem, Ae Fond Kiss. We've tackled Italian opera (Va Pensiero, sung out of south London windows at full volume) and blues, folk and rock music. It's been a lot of fun.

Here's the virtual choir performance of 'Higher and Higher' that we recorded and Ben our musical director produced - watch it on Vimeo here

Due to popular demand One Tree Hill choir is continuing to meet on Zoom every Tuesday up to 11th August. We?re hoping to return in September to our rehearsal space in St Saviour?s Church SE23.

You?re welcome to come and join us on Zoom on Tuesday at 7.15 for a taster session. Get in touch here https://www.onetreehillchoir.co.uk/join if you would like to come. Music is sent in advance for each rehearsal.

We hope to see you there!

This is the Professor who set out to draw up a balanced view of Empire and history but walked into a storm. "OMG, this is serious shit", said one Cambridge academic on hearing of Biggar's plan. Meet the man himself, unless of course you think this Regius Professor Emeritus should be cancelled still.
    • the insult and frustration is that we have no recourse given the council turn a blind eye.
    • all this to say, and staying on topic, that the sunlit uplands are never coming, they never existed and the liars and frauds who pushed this poison on the country are being found out But to watch even tiny slivers of engagement with the  EU result in such weird, intemperate outbursts (have you SEEN the front pages of Mail/Express/Sun etc today?) show just how dysfunctional this country has become
