Computer to laptop, help needed

I need to replace my ancient desktop with a laptop, so need someone who can suggest what to buy and then come to house to transfer stuff from old computer to laptop. Any suggestions please?

I can almost certainly help you - lots of experience helping and training adults to use technology. Is your original computer Windows or Mac? I would strongly recommend getting an Apple laptop - either recent used, or new. More expensive but will last a long time, and very reliable.

Many thanks Francis. I currently use Windows. Would prefer at this stage to use a someone who is running a business in computers. Definitely don't want Apple but that's my personal prejudice. Do you have a registered business? Will not be planning to do this until September.
