george74
A motor cyclist came of his bike around 3:15am this morning just outside The Rose pub. Not sure what happened exactly as only heard the crash, but it didn't seem as though any other vehicle was involved. Hopefully he is ok!This is now the 3 crash on this stretch of road within as many months. Shouldn't Southwark be thinking about installing some kind of speed prevention system (as much as I hate speed bumps)? Gidget
Perhaps people are just going too fast and need to slow down? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25918-accident-on-forest-hill-rd/#findComment-580938 Share on other sites
dbboy
There are three different sets of traffic lights on Forest Hill Road plus Southwark Council conducted a consultation earlier this year for further speed interventions through changing the layout of pavements (if memorary serves me right). So I believe this is already in hand. Yes, sad to hear of a third accident however any more speeed restrictions will make walking faster than motorised transportation. firekat2
I heard it too, the paramedics and police were there for ages and it was taped round the area where the crash was for a hour or so. Not sure what happened hope he or she survived, Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25918-accident-on-forest-hill-rd/#findComment-581182 Share on other sites
