ribrob Posted August 5, 2020 Share Posted August 5, 2020 How have people been finding Virgin Media yesterday and today (Wednesday 5 Aug)?I've been having spotty access with it going up and down regularly.I'm at the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane.Nobody else here has said anything about having issues, so I'm not sure if it's VM or our own setup.Of course, the VM site says there's nothing wrong, but it practically always says that even when it's clearly down. north2south Posted August 6, 2020 Share Posted August 6, 2020 Mine's been working - but so patchy over the last few months I decided to ditch them and move to Sky (with a reduce bill of 15% or so).VM's customer service and billing structure is abysmal and, I suggest, intentionally so. alex_b Posted August 9, 2020 Share Posted August 9, 2020 I noticed VM was considerably less reliable during the hot weather we had in late spring. I wonder if the cabinet is overheating? Like North2south we?ve also moved from Virgin due to their terrible service. We had terrible service from Virgin Media for years ??connection frequently hanging or cutting out completely, and unhelpful customer service. They always gave the same response when queried: "We are working on improving the connection issues in your area". Since switching providers a couple of years ago we've had no problems at all (apart from when a neighbour's cat trespassed into our house and pee'd on the modem, but that wasn't the provider's fault!).
