I am expecting a delivery later today, driveway is empty, however a large white furniture van is totally blocking the drive.

There is not any activity occurring, either loading or unloading the van.

It has been like this for over three hours.

Who should I contact, any suggestions appreciated.

Sadly if your driveway is empty, neither the police or council can do anything unless there is a yellow line across your drive.

If you had a car up your drive, the van could be moved or ticketed as it is blocking you in but the rules are not the same for stopping you getting into your own drive.

Is there a company name or anything on the van that could give you contact details ?

In the short term put a note on the windscreen asking them to move as the drive is needed, if they are nearby and see it they may move the van

Sorry

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.

If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
