Why are flies clever enough to smell out your food when eating outside, smart enough to find an open window or door to invade your house but not smart enough to find the same opening or a different one to get out again ?

What's the meaning of a fly's life ?

I'm lucky in that Rye Lane flies come in and go out again.

So are you saying that there's a different class or breed of flies on rye lane ?

Possibly your lanus flyus breed ?

Or is it the overwhelming attraction of fish and meat up and down the lane that draws them outside again ?

Logically speaking only of it is flying directly towards or away from the windscreen at the time

If it was flying across the windscreen then it's mind and arse would pop at the same time upon which point it would possibly think "ouch"

There is also the issue of semi impact where the fly is travelling in the same direction as the car and only partially impacts on the windscreen leaving a tattered behind but fully active frontal part in which case it may think "what the heck"

So many reasons why your attempt at humour has so many inconclusive faults so as not to make it funny

I'm embarrassed by my lack of attention to detail....

Getting an airflow is not easy mind you - I tried directing fans outwards last night with a little success (seemed to cool a bit). Thinking multiple fans now :)
