I manage a Sunday League men's football team called London Rebellion and we?re looking for players to join our squad for the 20/21 season. We?ve been going for around 11 years and as a result, some of the team are now on the wrong side of 37. A number of us live in/around East Dulwich and we?re looking for some younger blood to keep the team competitive into next season and beyond, so if you currently play and are looking for another team, or you hung up the boots a couple of years back and are in search of one last shot at glory, we?d love to hear from you.

We play our games within zones 1 and 2, mostly on grass pitches of varying quality and usually at 10.30am on Sundays. Our home pitch is still TBC but probably Regent?s Park/Victoria Park. The standard of football is competitive but we?re a friendly bunch looking for some decent-ish players - particularly forwards - to bolster the squad and see what we can do in the league and cup next year. Games cost ?10 for pay-per-play although it helps us if you can pay a block in advance.

We have some training sessions and friendlies coming up so if you?re interested in coming along, drop me an email at [email protected]

    • Silly question, but would it not have been someone at  the school who marked the mock, and if so (rotten teaching notwithstanding) could they not say why she fell short? I hope you find someone who can help.

    • As a slight woman in my mid 60's who's an avid walker I find these reports really upsettting and to be honest they put me off the idea of walking around the area for relaxation and pleasure like I used to. Most disturbing is the report of them threatening to kill someones dog and trying to kick it- I'm streetwise having been born and brought up in Notting Hill long before it was gentrified, and I lived in NYC for awhile in the 80's but there was'nt this senseless nastiness attacking and intimidating people for 'sport' that there seems to be now. Not long ago I had two females on a 185 bus just pushing me and cussing me for no reason whatsover-I confronted them about it and they carried on and started threatening to kill me...I honestly have no idea why. probably Just trying to intimidate me..another passenger advised me to get off because he could see they were jabbing me in the side and pushing me around-I did get off and realised I was actually really shaken up and scared they'd followed me. I dont know why there is so much anger and hatred in the world it saddens me.
