Recommendation for plumber

Recommended Posts

If anyone is looking for a plumber, I would highly recommend Clive Curniffe, CD Plumbers Tel:020 7358 9029 Moile: 07956525875. He turns up on time (which is always appreciatd!), is reliable and efficient in recommending what needs to be done. In my opinion I find his pricing honest and straighforward unlike the others.

Strongly recommending Michael 07960691495. A superb guy who really impressed us.

Michael came at short notice to ours, tested our gas system and had it sorted and certified quickly. What really impressed me was that he hung around while we rang the gas safety board to ensure any questions were answered and that we got our certificate - it was so nice that he'd taken ownership of our challenges. A super guy I would recommend in a heartbeat.

    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
