what do you actually do if you need medical attention and you're with dmc? answers on a postcard?

Recommended Posts

Have a look at the NHS Choices website. One poster said that they had a receptionist admit that they had no GPs at the practice on one particular day. Perhaps this is quite common and the receptionists have been told not to admit to this fact. How is is possible to have no GPs, not even a locum at a surgery?

"What a stressful way to live if you have a sick child - ready to do battle......so sad."

Prepares you for when you're fighting for medical attention for an elderly parent though .

Hope people don't think that's an irrelevant comment in the "family " section of the forum .

I've never had an issue with getting an appointment at dmc I'm shocked so many people have ...the nlyproblem I've found is the phone system

I insist on appointments when necessary and they've always managed to see any member of my family. Maybe it's making clear that its vital to see someone and no I have no intention of telling a receptionist the details of my issue

I have been corresponding with Lucy who says that they have the correct number of gps for their patient load, that they will be making some changes to try to improve access and anybody who has concerns can discuss with her directly

    • I've been using Homecert for all my electrical work at my flat in London for several years.  They have done small jobs like this one ( fitting a new security light to the patio) and big ones like fitting a new consumer unity, and also tricky ones like investigating and sorting out a problematic power circuit. They are extremely reliable and efficient and the work is always of a very high quality. Communications with the office are, in addition, excellent. Their work is economically reasonable and properly costed. I cannot see myself bothering with any other London electricians as long as Homecert exists
