Similar problems... First, using a mobile device, it only returned one address for my postcode. On a PC (using Edge browser) it found my address but, despite our electoral role info not changing for about 10 years, my address wasn't verified. I had to upload a council tax bill (which I guess was manually checked) then a few days later I was able to order a permit - wasn't notified, just had to check.

A bad joke of a system.

Yep same here - yesterday unverified and could only buy a monthly pass. Tonight logged on again (noticed that DOB and Sex from profile has been lost - definitely added when account was created) and went to try to buy a permit again. Asked for the Council Tax Number (which again I had added yesterday) and this time it was verified straight away and I was able to get the annual permit. This system is shocking, there is no way it has been properly tested. I work in software development and there is absolutely no way this would get through our QA process.
A friend has been repeatedly trying to buy a permit online. AFter many unsuccessful attempts they phoned the council to be told that the system does not work with apple products (iphones or computers). Amazing how they would be using software that rules out a large portion of applications.
I couldn't do this online and resented having to make security changes on my computer to let Southwark permanently access my card details so I phoned 03448002736 (helpful people) and I have a code to take to a newsagent and pay that way. It has taken up much too much time and you can't even get a little square of blue paper to put on the windscreen for proof for that ?125!

As I get a disabled blue badge discount I suspect that things will be even more complicated although things have not changed since the CPZ went live started.

No doubt there are no details on the system.

As people are "working from home" details and answers will be thin on the ground.

Thanks for the number

Thank you! I've been failing to add my card for a week and was just on the phone to them trying to get help (to no avail) but then saw this post. IE works. Hopefully the lady on the phone will relay that to any other callers as she was only aware of an issue with iOS.

    • Just shows, to me, once proud to be a citizen of UK.. now.. well if we pay/contribute to services - nhs, police, fire etc and folk who have made this there home - no matter what creed or culture.. for the love c of God, can someone  please explain to me.. how we have working royals who like them or not, have tried and continue to actually support and make a change and then we have Andrew.. who just destroys everything.. not just him, or royalty but his own children..  I had great admiration for The Queen - and respect.. as have a huge number of people.. but.. these old traditions where gosh.. live rent free and can’t get chucked out until I believe 2070? From what I scanned..well he has and continues to have it all.. has to go thru what old rules? Etc.  doubt very much he has even kept the upkeep maintenance up on his abode.. and do the shite keeps on pulling up.. What has Andrew done for UK or for that matter since he was 20?? Do please tell me

Have issues with cats defecating in the vicinity, however, they are not selecting the green roof specifically. Use decent compost, slow release fertiliser specific for green roofs, and lay it methodically not leaving blank patches. It looks amazing when cared for and adds value.
    • Some suggestions for mandatory action might include:- 1. Permit retailers to display facial images on the premises  of previous offenders at their local store. 2. Sound an alert and display images on screens inside the store when the FR flags up a person entering who is on the national database of shoplifters. 3. Physically bar recognised shoplifters from the premises. Should they attempt to force entry then charges should be pressed under aggravated trespass, which  a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. 4. Change the law to allow retailers to have enhanced powers of citizens arrest. What would you suggest? The UK seems to have the most lenient policy towards shoplifting , probably because of other demands on the police force. On the plus side, they may have more time for it now that non-crime hate incidents will no longer be investigated. Other countries, such as the USA have much more sever punishment as does Singapore where repeat offenders or aggravated cases can be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison, a fine, or both.
