Spartacus
The airline industry wants us to be able to test at airports to avoid quarantining so that they (the airlines) can start to encourage more passengers to fly. Obviously this isn't a tested strategy in this country yet and there is a concern that rates will increase as travelling increases. Just look at countries where this sort of scheme is already in place. In my opinion, the reason London and other major airport hubs were the first to see high infection rates was unintentionally down to mass transit of the virus into the country via airlines. My opinion but it's a fairly reasonable assumption.Should we move from the 14 day quarantine regime to testing at the airports ? I'm just staying at home or going out into open spaces with few people around. Spartacus
Any idea how testing at the airport would work as we can just about / almost not cope with testing in the community for those that need it. Imagine if there was the additional pressure of needing to do two tests for everyone arriving in the country (one at the airport and one 5 to 7 days later) It would have been chaos !
