I saw it because it was good to go back to the cinema. There was a film out years ago called Tron, which was Disney and had the protagonists riding motor bikes inside a computer on the printed circuit boards trying to kill each other. Telnet was better but not much.

that was the heyday of tech films - I couldn't even watch beyond 10 mins of the latest star wars (saved it to try again later)

I had a feeling I would think the same, but would go just for the novelty after so many months. I speak as someone who went about twice a week pre covid!

Well I?m going to go against the tide and say I bloody loved it. Not Kenneth Branagh?s atrocious accent or Elizabeth Debicki?s mournful looks (such a waste of a great actress) but the rest was fabulous. Bonkers and in no way scientifically accurate (!) but beautifully shot and nicely wrapped up at the end. Long though.

I am very glad you liked it!

Saw it, didn't follow it, read the below, still don't know what the hell happened 🤣🤣🤣

I still enjoyed it, though 🤣

We saw it up the road, there were only four people there!

Empire described it as "bonkers". I agree. Bonkers in a good way, though!

All the acting was brilliant, apart from Michael Caine, who just seemed to be going through the motions. But then - he's Michael Caine .....

Oh, and there were a few good jokes amongst the violence 🤣

Are you talking about the fact that Marty didn't have Parkinsons's in the future?

    • I need to go to Asda in the Old Kent Road tomorrow. Theoretically I can get a 78 or 363 bus, but it looks as if the bus stop at East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye may be closed. I don't know why, but I assume it may be due to gas or water works. Does anybody know if it is just this bus stop, or are other bus stops (or the routes) affected?  I don't want to get a nasty surprise tomorrow, as I have an appointment, so it's time critical.
