Football Magic Coaching aims to offer high quality and specialised goalkeeper training in London to individuals and football clubs.

?The football goalkeeper is one of the most important players on the field ? they are the last line of defence and the first line of attack. To play the position well requires special skills and training?

Football Magic Coaching aims to offer high quality and specialised goalkeeper training in London to individuals and football clubs. Our team of specialised goalkeeping coaches will assist you or your club to develop techniques, concentration, confidence and communication.

Saturday mornings we run 3 sessions

Age 6-8 10.30 - 11.30

Age 9-13 8.30 - 9.30

Age 14+ 9.30 - 10.30

All sessions are held at The Hollies (Pelo Sports Ground), Turney Rd, Dulwich, London SE21 7JH. Please use the entrance on Gallery Road, SE21 9AE rather than Dulwich Sports Ground. Please be aware that parking is extremely limited unfortunately, so if you can walk or cycle that would be ideal or alternatively, park in the surrounding roads and walk into the venue where possible.

Our goalkeeper training and coaching focuses on the following aspects:

Footwork

Diving One on ones

Catching the ball (techniques)

Decision-making

Shot stopping

Positioning

Distribution

Communication

Set pieces

Many football clubs will not have specialist goalkeeper coaches who are experienced or qualified sufficiently to be able to highlight individuals that require help in one or many of the above areas, This can result in goalkeepers not developing to their full potential and can also can be the difference in a team experiencing success or failure.

A well trained and motivated goalkeeper can prevent easy goals being conceded and this added confidence can filter through the team knowing their keeper is unbeatable!

We offer one to one coaching and group goalkeeping courses. So if you are responsible for training at your football club, or a keen goalkeeper looking for some specific coaching, then please feel free to contact us.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
