RoLo1
I avoided a mop-mop forever - mainly cos they slosh water (I am doing mainly wood) and cos I may be slightly ocd (less so since kids of course, I have really given up!) but I like to use cloths etc that can either be washed in the machine or discarded. Even with cloth and on knees with a bucket and microfibre cloth I would have to change water repeatedly - I have converted to the steam mops I must say, so quick and painless! Pickle
I find, even with a mop that I can wring out really well, that dirty water ends up getting into the grout of my tiled floor, making it look grubby. When pregnant I spent hours one weekend in a fit of "must get the grout clean" insanity on my knees with Cillit Bang and a toothbrush, and got it looking really nice again. Since I got the steam mop it has stayed looking good (which is lucky, cause now that I'm not pregnant, and never will be again, there's no chance that I will get down on the floor with a toothbrush again!) ClareC
I wish there was a like button :) I scrubbed my kitchen floor with a wire brush and spray bleach!?! The mop definitely doesn't keep the grout clean! I am definitely in the market for a steam cleaner!! I can recommend a fantastic carpet cleaner :) Pickle Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> I find, even with a mop that I can wring out> really well, that dirty water ends up getting into> the grout of my tiled floor, making it look> grubby. Carbonara
Can people who are pleased with their steam mops, or steam cleaners that work on floors, please tell us what model? alieh
I have the Polti Vaparetto Evolution I think. If you just want it for floors, this is more than you need to spend but the other attachments are so great. I use the upholstery cleaner attachment all the time (perfect for cleaning upholstered dining chairs after messy kid meals). It also has a full steam iron attachent, which is great for big things like bedding or curtains. I also use the window squeegie attachent on bathroom glass and tiles. There is a grout cleaner attachment if you can be bothered.I have asthma/allergies and it is great for steam cleaning mattresses, carpets, etc.I haven't yet tried it on the oven but think it would be great for that.
