Car lights stolen - hindmans road

Hi all - my inlaws Land Rover rear lights were stolen last night - parked on the tyrell road end of hindmans road. I had no idea this was even a ?thing?. Their alarm didn?t go off. Not sure what any of us can do about it but just thought I?d mention!

If it's a discovery, it's common. Removed with a screwdriver slotted between light and tailgate

It's not a discovery. The insurance co / pick up vehicle reckoned whoever it was knew exactly what they were doing as normally you need to access the inside of the car to get to the screws? And they hadn't cut the wires or anything. What do they take them for? I found old newspaper stories about the front lights being taken to grow weed but these were the rear lights which presumably wouldn't be bright enough...

Anyway, sh7sters whoever they were - a stressful, phone call / paperwork heavy and expensive end to the first weekend they had been to stay since Feb.

They take the disco 4 lights to upgrade disco 3s. If it's an early disco sport, probably the same.

Same thing happened to a Discovery 3 couple of nights ago parked on Dovedale Road. Both rear light clusters removed from the outside with no damage.
