English Tutor on-line tutoring

Currently taking bookings for Thursdays and Weekends. I have tutored full-time for the last four years covering entrance examinations, English key stages 2-5 and Drama. Previously, I worked as a full-time head of department for over 21 years. My learning style is focussed on developing strategies that can be adapted in examinations. Recent results from tutees display over 80% reaching level 8 or above at GCSE and over 90% exceeding target grades at A level. In the light of the changes that are likely to come about regarding the 2021 examinations it is imperative that students only submit work to a teacher that is on target or above expectations. It is more than likely that all work will be used to formulate part of, or all of, the eventual grade. My emphasis would be on ensuring that students hone all such work before submission.

I am available both on-line and face-to-face. Please feel free to contact me here or on 07807635310. I charge 40 pounds an hour and look forward to hearing from you. Plenty of testimonials available on request. Phil Winter

    • Vapes aren't big yet - most people still get their Chinese B&H Gold from one of the 'barbers'. The theme park isn't a bad idea - Torbay are using their cash for an 'Agatha Christie Trail' - so it's not so far-fetched.   'One-eyed Cop Killer' Dale Cregan and, most chillingly of all, Simply Red's Mick Hucknall are also from the neck of the woods. Would you believe Hucknall's dad was an actual barber? Brian & Michael (Matchstalk Men & Matchstalk Cats & Dogs) lived at the top of my road, and were abetted by The St.Winifred's School Choir on that aberration. They, of course graduated to the unforgivable 'Theres No-one Quite Like Grandma'. A truly terrifying place.
