Double room available in lovely Herne Hill flat

I have a great sized double room to rent in my lovely 1st floor flat. I am a live out landlord and bought the flat a few years ago. I am currently renting out one room to a 35yr old girl and am looking to rent out the other room. It is furnished with a double bed, mattress, bedside table, chest of drawers, wardrobe and space for a desk.

The current flatmate works in the arts and is a lovely, friendly, relaxed housemate who likes a chat in the evenings but also has a busy social life.

I'm looking for a similar minded female flatmate who has regular working hours, an established life in London and likes to chill out at home and have a chat in the evenings now and again.

Bills are about ?120 each so total cost is around ?850 pcm.

The flat is on a quiet street only a 7 min walk from Herne Hill station which has excellent transport links into central London. Herne Hill is a lovely place to live with lots of great pubs, cafes and a beautiful park and lido.

Please get in touch with a little bit about yourself and I'll share more photos. It's available now but move in date would depend on how quickly reference checks come back. Usually takes a week.

Thanks!

Julia

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
