The Dulwich Folk Choir meets upstairs at the EDT every Tuesday night at 7pm.

No auditions, everybody welcome whatever standard, and you can choose what part you want to sing for each song.

Choir members can also suggest songs they would like to do. The Choir leader is Aimee Leonard. Its ?4 an evening. Its a very friendly choir with people of all ages which has been going since January 2012.

There's a very good mix of men and women.

You don't need to read music, in fact there isnt any!!!

We sing songs from various cultures but based in folk music as it's a folk choir. We're doing some seasonal songs at the moment for obvious reasons.

Camberwell Community Choir! ?3 pay as you go, no auditions, no commitment, with tea and biscuits half way through. The choir is run by 3 young talented and enthusastic chaps and the repertoire varies enormously (e.g. David Bowie, Faure's Requiem, deep South spirituals etc). Our plans for the next couple of months include a carol flashmob round the pubs of SE5, singing at the farmer's market and a couple of other treats.

Nunhead Community Choir meets at Ivydale School on Thursday evenings from 8-9.30pm. There's a website you can google. Very friendly and welcoming, with a good age range and a good few men (though more always welcome). Noteorious meets at the Mag on a Monday night and (I think) also has a website though I believe there is currently a waiting list. There used to be two 'Raise the Roof' choirs at the Horniman on Tuesday and Thursday nights but I have heard that they might be ending - you could check. And Koruso meets at Bellenden school, not sure when, but they probably have a website too.

Hi Juicypips666

We are Note-Orious, East Dulwich's fun, friendly, community choir. We rehearse once a week on a Monday night. Music reading in not essential and we don't have an audition for admissions. We currently have a waiting list for Sopranos and Alto. Our repertoire covers artists such as Elbow, Queen, ELO, Mumford & Sons, Bruno Mars, Wham and Gnarls Barkley as well as songs from the musicals South Pacific, Rent, Sweet Charity, West Side Story and Les Miserable

If you would like more information please check out our website www.note-orious.co.uk or email us on [email protected]

We hope to hear from you.

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

Worth contacting her with views on ammendments to the original license. I am fairly sure she won't grant any amendments, but just in case.....
    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
