This is entirely charming (and wholly mad and eccentric) and changes (grows) every time I visit. The owner/ artist is a wholly lovely man, and his vision compelling. There are bits I'm less fond of (dismembered dolls), bits I love and all enchants. The garden in spring and summer is a delight.

Steve's wonderful house is absolutely worth a visit, when it's open. A visual feast, and moving stories behind the making of it. We are so lucky to have it in East Dulwich.

It's a shame that his fab mosaic floor at the front what was The Blue Mountain Cafe (then rock Steady Rum lounge) got covered up with a dark wooden floor on top....

Here are a couple of photos of details of it (and my feet!)

    • Strange reply post. Cry babies are unfit for political purpose, and should be nowhere near a Government position, especially in today's global environment!
    • The wheels do seem to be falling off for this government very quickly and my worry is that the far-left of Labour will be licking their chops and will try to force a leadership change and all that will do is pave the way for Reform (always interesting at these times to see who is not putting themselves forward and happy to slip into the shadows from the cabinet). Scary ,scary times. Starmer has got to get a grip but his leadership and cabinet are being undermined every single day. One year in - what a mess - didn't Starmer tell us they had been preparing for 14 years for this - clearly they needed more time?
    • Saw your comment and thought I'd better check it out! Here's my review: https://open.substack.com/pub/eatsdulwich/p/restaurant-review-lai-rai?r=8oe6m&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
    • Pathetic because ..... why? She's not thick skinned enough for your requirements? You have no idea what's going on for other people, personally or professionally, in the public eye or otherwise. Strange first post.
