For all of you interested the council meeting where they will discuss the e-petition to remove the road closures across Dulwich can be found here:

And...doing my very best Martin Tyler from Sky Sports.....It's LIIIIVVVEEE from 4pm!!!

It was a positive overall message, but incredibly light on detail. I was hoping for a clearer step plan of what the council is going to do next, but I do welcome the commitment to implement widespread monitoring of the impacts of the scheme with a focus on social fairness and particularly the rights of children.

Well done Dougie. You put the points across very well. I?m glad this coincided with a day of annual leave so that I could watch!

Re: engagement with schools, am I right in thinking that councillor Rose?s commitment only extended to engaging with those on the Dulwich Estate? That presumably excludes, Harris Primary ED, Charter ED and Goose Green (all of which are no doubt bearing the brunt of additional traffic on Lordship Lane, Grove Vale and EDG). I don?t think it?s at all fair to consult with the schools on the Estate whilst ignoring those elsewhere, particularly as we know that one of the big issues with the Dulwich scheme is that it is designed to banish traffic from the green leafy streets of the village and dump it elsewhere!

It will be up to everyone to keep expressing views and make sure something happens. But it didn?t sound like a blanket ?no change, let?s wait the full period and see? as advocated by the clean air etc lady ... the door seems to be open to some immediate tweaks to address the major problems (at least that?s what I heard, although that could be confirmation bias at work)

Ah, ok. I might watch back later to check.

That was my take home - 'we are going to do some reviews'. Urgent ones I hope.

We have to ensure this is an area-wide consultation and that the councillors are engaging with all RAs and all stakeholders. For too long they have treated this issue on a ward-by-ward basis and this is why the problems are so bad. Any discussion has to be with ALL stakeholders across the whole of Dulwich - not just in the pockets where there are the most vocal pro-closure activists.

The gentleman at the beginning is he from the Dulwich Village RA?

    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
    • Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all.  I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
    • I haven't used them myself but I noticed recently that "Snoots" in Forest Hill is going unlimited primary care for £33/month, so basically a subscription. Easy access on the 176 from East Dulwich. I have no idea what it includes so read the contract! It's a chain but only 5 branches so not a mega corporate. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.snootsvet.com/find-us
