pfk
Hi, I have seen and heard a rat in my toilet Bowl twice (horrible I know). It happened after heavy rain and we are in the basement. It?s never happened before and I haven?t heard or seen anything for the last 24 hours. I hate rats and I am terrified of one coming back!Has this ever happened to anyone else? Will the rat keep coming!?Thank you! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/267863-rats-do-i-need-a-pest-controller/ Share on other sites
esme
I would contact the Southwark council pest control team - you can book them online and they're reasonably priced - I think around ?100. alex_b
Try contacting Roger at critter solutions. There?s a thread of recommendations. michaem
I have literally just had Roger round as I had a rat stuck in the house. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Him and his son have been extremely responsive and understanding to a very traumatised person! And the best thing is they offer a guarantee so will come back repeatedly as necessary. monniemae
You need a plumber, to fit a rat trap/flap (can?t remember what it?s actually called) to the toilet. They should all have them fitted but often don?t. A rat chewed its way out of the flexi waste pipe into our downstairs loo on and I was horrified, but it was q easily fixed and no more problems in the 7 years since.
