Lost black cat Upland Road/Goodrich intersection?

I picked my son up from holiday club at Goodrich school tonight and there was an extremely skinny looking black, I think probably adolescent male, cat hanging around. The person on the gate said he?d been there for an hour or and looked very sad and cold. So wondering if anyone in the vicinity is missing a cat or a stray? I didn?t manage to get a photo I?m afraid.
