YummyMummy01
Hi, I been trying to decide between kobo or kindle e-reader because no space to store books at all.Read hundreds of reviews so still confused. Anyone got one? Any problems? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26825-any-mummies-out-there-got-a-kobo-or-kindle-which-is-best/ Share on other sites
Otta
Not much in it. Kobo gives you more choice of where you can uy books from. To be honest, there is so little difference that you may as well just go for the cheaper of the 2. Otta
Although I'm not a mummy, so you may want to ignore me ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26825-any-mummies-out-there-got-a-kobo-or-kindle-which-is-best/#findComment-593496 Share on other sites
crystal7
I have a Kindle and love it. No problems I can think of. I have the one with buttons to turn thepages, not the touch. I'm on my second 1 high as I dropped my first on a hard floor without its cover and the screen broke. Belle
Yep I love my kindle. And find it dead easy having it all linked with Amazon account. I have a holder/case for it with an integrated light which is v useful for when I find myself sharing a room with one of the kids or I don't wnat to wake husband up. Mrs TP
I have a Kindle and the best thing about it for me is picking up almost exactly at the spot you stopped reading rather than with a physical book where it is much easier to loose your page and end up re-reading several pages again.Worse thing is I have no feeling for the physical sz of the book and more of pain to flick through next few pages to see where chapter ends etc. I have actually gone into bookshops to look at the physical version of books I'm reading. My Kindle tracks along the bottom of the screen saying what %age of the book I have read rather than page x of xxxx. Slowly getting used to the %age business but bit odd. Growlybear
I've had my Kindle for about 2 years and I love it. I particularly like the way that if I want to continue reading a book on my iPhone or iPad, it automatically takes me to the exact point I was up to on my Kindle. Like other posters, I like having it linked with my Amazon account. There are so many free books on offer that I don't think I've paid for a book for over a year- it's made me read loads of books that I quite probably wouldn't have tried if I'd had to pay for them. Otta
iPhone or android have a kindle app (free) which lets you read your books on your phone / tablet. You don't even need a kindle to purchase books and read them through the app. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26825-any-mummies-out-there-got-a-kobo-or-kindle-which-is-best/#findComment-593841 Share on other sites
