Reliable taxi service for labouring lady in SE19??

Hi all! Can anyone recommend a reliable taxi service near crystal palace/dulwich estate area willing to take ladies in labour to hospital when the 'big day' arrives? New to the area & having problems finding anything suitable. Thanks!

My husband phoned Addison Lee when I got to the stage of labour where I needed to go to the hospital. He pre-warned them of what was happening and they arrived promptly.

The driver was pretty good about it all and tried his best to ignore the yelps coming from the back seat. I don't remember too much about it all but I think my husband was impressed by their service. I think I may have scared the living daylights out of the poor driver though. He definitely got a tip.

We also have had good (but non labour) experience with Dulwich Cars. Friendly, reliable and prompt.

Not sure which hospital you plan to go to, but when I gave birth at Tommys, they gave out a taxi number of a firm willing to take labouring mothers. I was given this when I did an ante-natal tour of the unit. Perhaps if you call your hospital they may have a similar arrangement? Best of luck for the birth - I in fact nearly gave birth in the cab to the hospital!

Wow! That was a close call! I'm actually using the UCLH, relocating from north london. Hospital didn't have a taxi firm for me. Will keep on trying. Thanks for help!

Just been told by Station Cars at crystal palace that the gladly take labouring women to hospital! Yeah!
