We?ve just learned that a couple of weeks ago our cat Fudge was struck and killed by a car on Hillcourt Road. She was a tortoise shell cat and was found by someone other than ourselves. She was taken to the vet but where she wasn?t chipped no one contacted us until I saw what happened on the forum. To think we won?t be able to identify the body as it?s been 15 days since it happened absolutely kills me inside. I feel guilty as hell for not only letting her go outside but not having her chipped and only realising she had been missing for so long right now. Did anyone see anything? We need some closure. I need to know if she was in pain or not. I feel sick to my stomach.

We knew that she was missing, we didn?t know that she was dead. Don?t be a cunt. I?m heartbroken and feel guilty enough as it is, how insensitive can you be. My cats are my babies.

Update: We?ve just called all of the local vets to try to locate where she was taken to but none of them have had any dead cats matching her description brought in. I?m at a dead end. None of this feels real.

I am not being a xxxxx and happy to be corrected but this is what you posted and I quote, "I feel guilty as hell for not only letting her go outside but not having her chipped and only realising she had been missing for so long right now."

If you knew Fudge was missing wouldn't you of checked this forum and seen the post on 22nd October about her.

I understand your cats are your babies as I have cats too but they are microchipped and if they went missing I would be posting on here and out looking for them within 24 hours especially if it was close to fireworks night!

I?m sure s/he doesn?t need to hear this right now......

You are truly a nasty person. I hope you know that. I made a horrible mistake that cost my cat her life and I am hurting right now and you?re here to spread negativity and tell me something you know is going to cut even deeper. I hope you reevaluate how you speak to people who have just suffered a huge loss because quite frankly you mustn?t be right in the head. Find some compassion.

And an update for everyone else... we found the vet she was taken to and just went to say goodbye to her. It?s given me some closure. The vet said with the injuries she had it would have been almost instant. She advised me not to look at her so I didnt. I spent some time hugging the box she was in and speaking to her and that has given me some closure. She?s to be cremated this weekend and we?ll have the ashes back by Monday week.

thank you for your kind words.

Stop it all of you!

We're all entitled to our own opinions even if they may appear misplaced or poorly timed.

Yes people may question the OPs comments and others, of course, wont agree with them. I'll admit and say I have had similar thoughts too but chose not to voice such thoughts. Does that make me an evil cold hearted person (vibe gotten from other comments here). There is no need to gang up on another person in such a way. If you think they're trolling (again from vibes) don't fuel it. Simple.

Ronniejade - Sorry for your loss.

Utter nonsense... when someone says, after a series of other inappropriate comments ? the truth hurts?, that to me is fuelling a fire and adding a good dose of kerosene too... Save your Mother Theresa vibes for someone more deserving and hopefully this clown will pipe down next time she reads a post from someone who?s very obviously in distress. Perhaps then she?ll think twice on calling them out and rubbing their face in it and offer a bit of genuine support.

Frankito get over yourself! Your attempt at name calling just highlights my point.

At this point you're just coming across as nothing but a bully.

Nah, this is me just being entitled to my opinion like you said before.. We don?t need to agree but to label me as a bully is as much hysterical as it is ridiculous...

Ok fair play to you. Point clearly made ;-)

I am sorry I have an opinion that happens to sympathise with the poor cat that died rather than the owner who by her own admission didn't microchip it and didn't even know it was missing for at least 15 days. Having seen previous posts on here regarding her cats that again, by her own admission were not neutered so they got pregnant and not microchipped so they got lost she can hardly expect my sympathy!

    • In just two days, we’ll take to the streets to show Donald Trump that he and his politics are not welcome here. On Saturday the global far-right mobilised their biggest protest for decades. We want to show that supporters of Trump and fascism are not the majority – far from it. Here are all the details you need for the day. The march assembles at Portland Place, near the BBC, at 2pm (see assembly blocs below). After speeches here, the march will move off at 3pm. It will then march down Regent St, through Piccadilly Circus, on Whitehall (past Downing St) to our rally at Parliament Square. The rally at Parliament Square will begin around 5pm and finish at 7pm. If you can’t make it to the march, feel free to join the rally after work! (Nearest tube: Westminster). The short, accessible version of the route assembles at the top of Whitehall (SW1A 2DY) at 4.30pm to march to Parliament Square for 5pm. You may also prefer to just join the rally directly at Parliament Square.  Join a bloc – and make friends! Our movement is diverse, and various elements are forming ‘blocs’ on the march to emphasise their visual presence collectively. You can join these blocs or form up behind them:   A) Palestine, near BBC, W1A 1AA B) Climate, W1B 1NS C) Amnesty, around junction with New Cavendish St, W1B 1LU D) Migrants' rights, W1B 1LS E) Jewish bloc, W1B 1QQ F) Ukraine, around junction with Weymouth St, W1B 1JL G) Europe, W1B 1NR More stewards still needed Stewards are a crucial part of keeping the protest safe for everyone to participate. They are a visible point of contact for attendees who may need directions or other assistance. Experience of stewarding is useful but it's also fine if you haven't done it before. You will be issued with a hi-vis jacket and briefed in advance and on the day.  Sign up to be a steward Staying comfortable on the day The demonstration lasts for several hours, so we suggest you should:     Bring a bottle of water and snacks (and eat beforehand)     Charge your phone fully the night before, and bring a portable charger if you can     Go to the loo beforehand (really!)     Buddy up with someone, or stick together as a group – it can be hard to find people easily if people wander off     Coming alone? Protests can be a great place to meet like-minded people. If you feel unsure, you can always talk to a steward     Consider the weather: bring a waterproof jacket or wear suncream where necessary     Wear comfortable clothes and footwear, and use our accessible route if you need to (see above) Bring your friends and family on Wednesday. Let’s make this massive! In solidarity, Stop Trump Coalition
