Hi all,

I wanted to start a fund raising thread to allow local fund raisers to plug there good causes. My own included :)

If nothing else maybe it will raise some more awareness for your charity and the cause you want to promote :)

This november I'm raising awareness and money for movember (http://uk.movember.com/about/). I'm not just growing a mo' i'm doing 'The South London' 10km run and hoping to do it in the quickest time possible. Before November I had done no medium or long distance runs in the last year so it has been a big challenge, with a physio appointment used at one stage!

I've been pushing myself really hard and over the course of november I've been on 15 runs and covered 97.6 km (60.5 miles).

I hope you appreciate the time and effort I am putting in, and please be aware of the issues a large majority of men

will face in their lifetime. We can all do small things to help, both for prevention and detection.

I'll be updating how I get on, on my movember page, pictures from the 10km event will also be uploaded.

Thanks for your time :)

    • Is GH Metals Ltd. still trading? I have tried all 3 phone numbers, but nobody is picking up.  If closed, any recommendations for other scrap metal merchants near by?
    • It's great that the relatively new type garden bags seem to be a lot bigger than the old ones, but has anybody else found that they disintegrate in the rain? I have two full ones in front of my house (too small to call the space a garden) and  they both  seem to have developed large holes when they got wet in the recent heavy rain. They mostly have prickly rose prunings in, which doesn't help.

    • How on earth do you equate people asking on a local forum  about police presence and road closure near their home with "busybodies and ghoulish people gossiping" , when they are asking because they don't know what has happened? And why have you included  that link? Nobody has posted any photos on here.
