Thank you. I appreciated that they wdn't be open at the moment but asked my question as hadn't expected to hear that both shops were empty of goods. Maybe they are recognising that Covid is going to be around for a long time and taking opportunity to re-organise shops.

Non-Essential - Unintended Consequences and all that !!

On Friday I very urgently needed some mobility aids for someone leaving hospital. The Physios and Occupational Therapists advised me to try The British Heart Foundation as the 'always have plenty of what you need in stock'.

Well, they're all shut. Without these 'non-essential' items the patient would have remained blocking a bed in hospital.

I've sorted it all out now thanks and we have what we need. It did though cause a lot of extra stress and hours of hassle when it was imperative to get them out of a potentially covid infected area ASAP.

Some of the paid staff at St. Christopher's are taking the opportunity to sort out stock and tidy up the premises.

Depending on mobility aids- many pharmacies stock these and can order stuff as does Boots. Surprised that the OT and Pysio were not able to give you some mobility aids - there is usually frames, crutches and sticks in stock.
