Oh wise people of the forum...

My baby had croup a week ago and hasn't really touched a solid since. She's now got a massive cold and cough.

She's having plenty of milk (bottle fed now), but doesn't fancy anything more. Plenty of wet nappies and, er, liquidy number twos.

Usually I don't mind if she doesn't take in too much in the way of solids - we're doing BLW and she was taking it slowly anyway - but a trip to A&E with croup has thrown me and maybe I'm worrying too much.

I tried her with an Ella's pouch today, but no joy. Not sure whether to be concerned as my older child used to eat everything at that age!

My daughter (13 months) always goes totally off her food when she has a bad cold. I found that yoghurt was always a winner and small bits of fruit she could feed herself or little chunks of cheese.

As long as she was drinking her normal amounts of milk I didn't try and get her to eat too much until she was visibly better. I have had to really train myself to do this however as I was always very concerned if she wasn't eating solids, as we had a bit of slow start to weaning.

Hope she feels better soon.

    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
    • Well I don’t approve for a shop doing the same food to open so near - just wrong in my opinion. Why not go to the village, Peckham - foot fall would be great in Peckham and certainly more multi  cultural than ED. Village has money but doubt foot fall would be as good as ED.  At least they could have gone to the stretch leading up to Peckham Rye or why not bottom of Barry Road?? Or even North Cross Road I for one, on principal won’t be going in.
    • Heh yeah haven't even bothered to remove the emdash. The OP is AI slop as well.
    • The street directory is on Ancestry and you'll need a subscription to access.  It's reasonably easy to navigate though you have to find the page you're looking for by a combination of trial and error/guesswork.  https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/61265/images/47056_263021009499_1592-00159?usePUB=true&_phsrc=Soz1793 There is though also a general search page for London directories where the street name can be entered in the keyword field and results will take you to the specific pages. https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/61265/
