A well used but fully functioning Charnwood Cove 2 Log burning stove.


This stove is currently out of stock in the UK until end of January and retails at over ?1800. It can be reconditioned and installed by local company Firely or installed as is.


With its gentle curved door and soft lines, the Charnwood Cove 2 creates a powerful focal point for any room.

It delivers a respectable 8kW of heat with a maximum output of 11kW. Comes with a base to store logs.


The low stand and low arch are perfect for fitting the appliance into a standard fireplace opening, while the store stand and centre stand are ideal for a large inglenook or a freestanding situation.

With the exception of simple tasks, it is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to perform electrical work. Hiring a qualified electrician ensures that the work is done in compliance with local laws and building codes. Some electricians are being recommended on EDF but here is no indication that they registered with NICEIC or NAPIT.  One is well advised to steer clear of Check-a-Trade which is a marketing service funded by subscription.

      Didn’t they have a very ‘unusual’ way of allocating council housing which was also criticised in that report and which hopefully has now been changed

      Was that the the time it took before reporting something like 'Fully charged'?  If so, had you tried checking from time to time before then whether the battery was effective?   It might also be interesting trying the charger again after a week or two, to see how well the battery is maintaining charge.
